Filth is about Detective Sergeant Bruce Robertson (played by James McAvoy), he is after a promotion and thinks he is the best guy for the job.


Smoking is very bad for you okay?

A story of a man who thinks he is in control of everything but actually is totally losing it with his addiction to alcohol and cocaine, abusive sexual relationships and a penchant for gorging on junk food. It is by the same creator as Trainspotting so you can expect to be shocked and enthralled all at the same time with this movie.

The film also ran a competition for the public to design a limited edition poster for the movie which had a massive response, there were some absolutely brilliant and unique entries, which you can view on the official filth movie competition page (and definitely is worth a look).

Really excited about seeing this movie, it looks beautifully filmed and McAvoy is really coming into his own (I loved Trance).

It hits cinemas in the UK on October 4th, and has already been released in Scotland on September 27th.
