Only Lovers Left Alive

I don't know how the rest of you spent Valentine's Day but I was at Cinema City in Norwich watching the preview showing of Jim Jarmusch's 'Only Lovers Left Alive'.

And it was just beautiful. It follows two very much in love vampires, Adam and Eve, and their struggles with the modern world, friends, siblings and each other.

The cast is amazing with John Hurt, Tom Hiddleston and Tilda Swinton, who all give great performances, and totally believable in their roles, particularly Hurt as Christopher Marlowe (and there is an in-joke that runs throughout the film).

I really enjoyed this film, I know that this is a film that I would have been totally obsessed with when I was at art college all those years ago (where does the time go?). With it's cultural references and self indulgent melancholy, I'm already pre-ordering the DVD.
